Yoga Basics - Joyous Discovery
All Levels - Come as you are
For intermediate/experienced students who have a strong foundation in the Anusara method. Deeper backbends, variations in inversions and arm balances will be emphasized. Elements of the Anusara yoga philosophy will be presented in greater depth.
Variations and modifications will be offered to accommodate all levels of students.
Everyone is welcome!
Introduces beginning students to the Anusara Yoga principles of alignment and breathwork. Designed for students who are new to yoga or for those who want to deepen their understanding of the basics.

A gently paced class that focuses on basic postures ~ to systematically explore Anusara’s profoundly therapeutic Universal Principles of Alignment that bring balance, strength and ease into the body and mind. Good for beginners and those with special considerations.
Introduces beginning and continuing students to
the life-affirming vision and technique of Anusara (TM) yoga in a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere. Emphasis is on creating a strong foundation for the practice by building strength and flexibility through standing poses, beginning backbends and seated poses.
Builds on and refines standing poses from Level 1, introduces deeper backbends, seated hip openers and beginning inversions. Suitable for students who have studied other styles of yoga but not suitable for absolute beginners.
For continuing students who have an understanding of the Anusara yoga principles of alignment and philosophical vision. This class focuses on refining alignment of all the basic postures and playfully explores deeper backbends, inversions and arm balances. Poses from the Anusara yoga level 2 syllabus will be introduced.
